The violence that has erupted in Jamaica the past few days truly seems like something out of a movie like Scarface instead of the reality of the tropical Island paradise of the people of Kingston, JA. This on going violence & its rising death toll has caused the Jamaican government to declare a state of emergency & the US government to send out a travel warning advising US citizens against travel to Kingston and its surrounding areas, all because of the hunt for a man known as Coke. Jamaica’s Prime Minister, Bruce Golding decided to oblige the US request for the extradition of accused drug lord, Christopher “Dudus” Coke to face drug charges in the US after 9 months of refusing to do so.

Is This a Case of Like Father Like Son? Jim Brown is the father of Dudus. Is America & JA Gov’t up 2 the same old politricks & is Dudas even really still in Kingston after 9 months of being able to plan a getaway & being put on notice by a Gov’t that he helped put in power?

Drug Dealing is by far the oldest form of illegal & sometimes legal money making business surpassing prostitution. Africans traded other Africans in the slave trade to attain basic drugs like alcohol & tobacco from western dealers. The drug trade has been kept alive  & prosperous in one form or the other through the participation of many world wide, from Rockefellers to Kennedys, to Capones, to bankers, oil tycoons, politicians & the average joe user. From  global mobsters  to world governments, the money made from the drug trade is too enticingly sweet & abundant to take the so called “War on drugs” seriously.  Both the US & Jamaican governments are implicit in the chaos they have brought to Kingston because it boils down to what deal was made with who  & the usual the haves versus the have nots mentality, where one has to pay to play until their money or services are no longer needed. Is it any more illegal or harmful to the people of the US to have  inspectors & politicians paid off to look the other way while oil companies break the laws than it is for drug dealers to do  the same?

How does Jay Z boast in his songs & on Oprah about his life & times as a New York drug dealer around the same time as Coke & gets a pass for “going legit” by becoming a corporate darling & breaking bread with the president at the same time that Coke was being awarded major government business contracts in Jamaica legitimizing him as a respected business man in Jamaica that has helped elect many politicians & helped his community until the US decided to delegitimize him while giving others in their own nation a pass. Who is more dangerous to America Jay Z  being raised as some sort of icon  much like the gangsters he speaks about idolizing, or Coke who most people in America or anywhere else for that matter never heard of until the US decided to name him one of the  most dangerous drug lords in the world? Why do we uphold the Kennedy family’s wealth as that of American royalty when it came from the same means as a vilified Capone with less proof of carnage. We can legitimize the different levels of illegal behavior  or conveniently rewrite history all we want, but that does not make it any less illegal or different.

With all the advancement in technology & money in the world the US somehow can never stop the reign of homegrown & international drug dealers of all sorts & now allegedly one man from Kingston was able to create an empire that imported tens of millions of dollars of cocaine and marijuana into the US between 1994 and 2007 along with exporting money and US guns to Jamaica completely undetected for 13 years. We can send drones all over the world in the cover of darkness that can wipe out entire communities but we have to lead a town into complete chaos to capture one man? The hypocrisy of the US not to deal with its own issues of border control & internal corruption which has allowed drugs to flow into the US for centuries is the reason why Jamaicans of Kingston are fearing for their lives right now & preparing for the type of armageddon that comes when the chickens come home to roost!

“why is the United States pushing so hard?’ and ‘why now?’. The world is full of dons and drug lords, not to mention the fact that the American plate is full with wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and a billion Muslims who are being encouraged to attack anywhere at anytime. You would think that they had more immediate things to concentrate on.Yet they continued to poke and push…openly questioned the personal honesty of the the Prime Minister Bruce Golding and even suggested that the Jamaican Labor Party were in violation of their mandate to govern Jamaica. In fact, the Americans haven’t even got an Ambassador to Jamaica anymore. Obama has left the position open, a serious diplomatic slap in the face. All of this tension is for the Don of Tivoli Gardens? Something isn’t right. Dudus just isn’t that big of a problem….. Source :Read More

Via wildpeachatl737: “Unfortunately, until the community – who has allowed these elements to grow and fester – decides that they have had enough and fights back, this will only continue. No child should have to live or grow up under such conditions.” Only the true leaders of communities can make the difference when others turn their back & act simply for the sake of profiteering.

“..as the Jamaica attacks of the past three days have demonstrated, dealing with organized crime in Jamaica is full of perils, from gangs that have the muscle to stand up to the state, to gang-leaders who have helped put members of the political elite in office. And this sort of stand off has happened before...Read More
