With confidence & a plan anything can happen! Bunmi Olaye, the Nigerian born English designer of the Bunmi Koko label is the embodiment of that truth to power as she took the initiative toward her dreams instead of waiting for her dreams to come to her. She is not only the recipient of the ’2010 International Emerging Designer of the Year given at the highly praised African Fashion Week in Johannesburg, South Africa, but also counts former Spice Girl Mel B. as the official spokesmodel for her collection , Nelson Mandela’s wife Graça Machel as a fan & there are rumors that Michelle Obama is a fan as well. The entrepreneurial sense of Africans is innate & the hustle is immeasurable. All over the world we make due & leave our mark. We congratulate Bunmi Olaye on leaving her mark!
