What more can I say about my fellow Capricorn sister, Helen Folasade, except to acknowledge her class, beauty, intelligence, talent and the feel good aura which she embodies, as she very well preserves the “sexy” so beautifully at 51. Young women of the world take a lesson, particularly the overexposed, over-sexualized, gimmicky pop tarts who will eventually find out that one can not create true longevity & endless legacy thru just being part of a trend. Sade is a true talent with a fan base which spans generations.

I had a conversation with a friend who could not believe that Sade is 51. I told her it’s because she preserves her beauty, soul & talent as if she were a leap year- coming once in awhile, celebrated as a cherished one of a kind phenomenon, giving us her best & then leaving us awaiting for her next return. You won’t see Sade’s personal life plastered all over tabloids, hear about her being hospitalized for exhaustion (AKA drug abuse) or ever come to the point when you feel like you have had an overdose of Sade overexposure. Sade understands the business of being an artist, putting out great work crafted with precision for longevity sake instead of the demand or fear of staying on trend or relevant. She gives us her best & then goes on with her life leaving her fans with something to carry us thru until her return to work from her sabbatical. I am still being held in the warm embrace of Lover’s Rock, patiently & eagerly awaiting my Soldier of Love’s return.
