As if the people of Louisiana & the Gulf Coast have not had enough of death & destruction, now they must suffer with not knowing just how much more death & destruction they will face in the future due to the BP oil spill that seems to have no clue of a plan to end 10’s of thousands of barrels a day of oil spilling into the Gulf of Mexico. This spill which has been dubbed the “worst oil spill in U.S. history” was absolutely caused by human error & the overwhelming levels of government corruption that turns a blind eye to oil companies who break the laws while padding the pockets of government officials. Who is really working for the average American in our government? The more & more the skeletons of corruption in our government comes out the less & less the people have faith in government & now even our untouchable & seemingly altruistic president is sounding more & more unbelievable.

I am not buying the President telling Americans that the beaches of the gulf coast are perfectly safe for summer revelers while no one seems to have a clue on just how much damage the oil spill has caused or even when the spillage will end. We need to get out of this capitalism mentality that forsakes the good of the people for economics because it continues to haunt & destroy this nation in so many ways. We do not want to see the economy of the people of the gulf coast destroyed by not patronizing their beaches or seafood, but it isn’t the fault of the everyday people, but rather the fault of people in government & business bent on extreme capitalism with no moral compass or checks & balances to abide by as each one blames the other with little results for resolution.
