I really lost all respect for Bloomberg on this whole term limits issue. I like to be able to trust my elected offcials on their word as I do those in my life because after all, you are only as good as your word & if your word changes then you better be ready with a good explanation & not disregard & dismiss it as a non-issue. Politics & doing the work of & for the people has become more about how much money you have to get out the votes than truly serving the will of the people. When the field is not leveled the competition becomes unfair. My vote is not for sale is yours?
I don’t think Mayor Bloomberg has been a horrible mayor for New York City, but I really don’t see his greatness when the middle class is suffering more than ever with rents sky high & everything else sky high; whereas those making six figures are actually suffering to make ends meet with cost of living in comparison to most major cities. New York has lost is vibrancy & flavor as the capital of the world, the melting pot gumbo of diversity where everyone can come & have an opportunity to make it is no longer a possibility for most. New York needs a change & a new revival to reflect our diversity & to stop the pillaging of its citizens by corporate interests!
Bloomberg, NYC’s dismissive Mayor & his hypocricy- you be the judge because the people will have the last say!
This is your Mayor NY! He fails to see the connection-laughable! He fails to see the connection because Hugo Chavez actually allowed his people to have a referendum on the matter, while he denied New Yorkers their right to have their say on changing what we had already voted on.
Yes Mayor this is serious to the people who you denied the vote & dismissed their wishes as you dismiss reporter’s questions that you don’t like.
Hmm-If he couldn’t stop the destruction of our economy from crumbling in 8 years with a company that has its pulse on the financial sector, why should we believe that 4 more years is the answer?
Why wasn’t this in the works for the 8 years we gave you –what are you going t do differently now? Give more tax breaks to corporations while small businesses go out of business , more gentrification, continue to let the MTA run a muck while you defend them & stand idly watching the people pay more for less? You be the edge if 4 more years will bring great change or more of the same.
