It seems the blogosphere’s obession of the day is Kim Kardashian’s ex husband, Damon Thomas, spewing the dirt in In Touch Weekly about who he feels Kim really is & defending himself against allegations that he abused her during their marriage. Global Grind had a very interesting article about this. Interesting not because it was well written or gave great  commentary/opinion or anything  worthy of  interest based on the actual article, but interesting because of the way the writer gave commentary & the way his audience gave their own commentary /opinion about the writer & the subject matter.

“She can’t write or sing or dance, so she does harmful things in order to validate herself in the media,” Kim’s ex-husband, Damon Thomas tells In Touch exclusively. “That’s a fame-whore to me. It’s just not cool at all.”

In speaking on Damon Thomas’s comments about Kim, the writer goes on to say:
“When Kim Kardashian and her ex husband Damon Thomas got divorced she went on to become the most famous person in the world. #WhySoSerious? In my opinion Kim Kardashian might be a bunch of things, but I’ve never known her to lie. She released a sex tape for crying out loud, there isn’t much more to lie about after the that, but I digress. ”

The response from the writer’s audience is very telling about our divided society, where so many are sick & tired of fame whores while others can’t get enough- turning into the vicious cycle of all participants amassing into a society of fame whores; whether it’s in our need to blast off in condemning & judging all that we say we hate in the destruction of our society or our need to to d*ck ride & give undue praise, exhalation & credibility to all that we say we love.

“So why is Damon Thomas being chastised for saying what millions of people wanna say! These past few years & particularly these past few months have really shown this divide in a society that is driven by the whoring of fame. Politicians, celebrities, the media, pundits & every day people -we are all participants in the whoring of fame.  I would have never known who Damon Thomas is by name or otherwise had there not been a media frenzy made about his exposé in In Touch & had I not read Global Grind, who just gave him more exposure by introducing him to me & many others while as the comment above said “d*ck riding” Kim Kardashian.  I must agree with some of the comments because  Global Grind, in general seems to very much d*ick  ride Kim & I really can’t see how even the blind wouldn’t see that Kim is addicted to her fame. Kim is a fame whore by exposing her personal life to the world not for the sake of doing good for society in its exposure, but simply for the sake of staying relevant in the media by any means necessary with her own mother as her biggest pimp.

We are all fame whores or pimps of fame whores in giving them the attention in our participation on any level, whether it is in love or hate.  Me posting this right now is me being among the participants, so how do we all just stop when the whoring of fame rules everything around us?

There has been a rash of celebrities exposed for their cheating ways, mistresses whored into fame brandishing their whorish ways as a badge of honor instead of a scarlet letter, wives refusing to be beat down as victims & declaring war on mistresses & husbands, politicians in all parties who refuse to do the job of/for the people loving the fame of being in the spotlight more than celebrities, while professing their hatred for the media along with athletes who forget that their fame should come from the talent in their game & not their exploits outside of the game . There’s Chris Brown back in the spotlight again as he gets failed once again by his advisors/handlers who thought it was in anyway a good idea to make his public comeback (turned into yet another public black-lash) in singing the national anthem at a boxing match, where two Black men were paid to beat the crap out of one another. Even the new episodes of the Boondocks got the fame machine in a spiral, as it called out  the fame loving “Obama d*ck Riders“, which sent  will.I.am of the famoulsy overexposed Black Eye Peas in a twitter tirade spewing his delusions of grandeur & defending his ticket to ride.

There’s even a new found obsession with the the psyche, behavior & relationship needs of the Black woman- as we look to find Chili, Pepa & other Black women husbands, while exposing other Black women who are basketball wives & wannabe wives. Be it John Mayer waxing poetic,  Steve Harvey & Dateline having town hall meetings about why educated black women or black women in general,can’t find husbands or Halle Berry & Naomi Campbell being the poster children in justifying the idea that Black women in general, no matter how rich or beautiful, are just not marriage material because of some sort of innate generalized defects, as we all sit around dumbfounded  & wondering whatever happened to the idea of the “strong Black man” & what exactly  that even means or entails in our society, while at the same time we debate over whether the most powerful man in the world is too black or not black enough in pushing a so called Black agenda!

When you read some of these online gossip/news reports & blogs & see the venom filled comments hurled at certain real & some self imposed celebrities who are deemed media/venom/praise worthy by people who have no clue about their everyday life outside of their media exposure, it shows that this society is built on the whoring of fame in every aspect of our lives & there is no chance of turning back & returning to innocence until we all look at the person in the mirror  & see how we individually participate in a world of superstar fantasy, as conscious & unconscious Fame Whores!
