I do not find it surprising that the skate board culture has found its way into the American Indian culture. I have a global mindset & know that we all share the elements of pop culture throughout the world whether it is music, style of fashion or recreational & professional sports. Many would not think of skateboarding when they think of Native American Indian culture, so the national Museum Of The American Indian in Washington DC has decided to shine some light on the young skateboarders expressing their American Indian culture & pride to skateboarding as they tag up & design their boards to represent who they are.
