In a global hip-hop scene where female rappers seem to be an endangered species since the days of MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, Monie Love, Yo Yo, Lady Of Rage, Missy Elliott, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, Eve etc., it is refreshing to hear a female from Ghana, West Africa that is not just a gimmick, but rather a female rapper with substance & a new era sound a la Niki Menaje with better skills/ lyrics & less fake barbie hot mess antics & M.I.A. with better styling & less politics.
